Sales Position Description
Company
Profile:
Specialty Resources, Inc. is a leading inventory management and
global sourcing distributor of automotive aftermarket,
automotive OEM parts, bearings, castings, extrusions, fasteners,
forgings, gaskets, industrial hardware, injection moldings,
machine parts, OEM components, plastic components, powdered
metal parts, rubber products, springs, stampings, valves, and
wire products. In the U.S. and China, SRI employs over 70
people and utilizes over 350 manufacturing locations worldwide.
Accountability Objective:
Identify, develop and maximize new OEM business
opportunities and service existing OEM accounts for our
Inventory Management and Global Sourcing business.
Principal End Results:
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and
developing new OEM opportunities by selling value and innovative
solutions to a variety of industries. The candidate should have
a thorough working knowledge and experience that includes:
• A proven track record of building, managing and closing
opportunities focusing on selling products related to Heavy Duty
Trucking, Aerospace, Agriculture, Industrial, Commercial and
Service industries.
• Identify, pursue and close new prospects
• Well developed organizational influence skills with the
ability to work with people at all levels within the
organization.
• Conduct regular revenue and forecasting for developed accounts
• Resolve customer issues and cultivate relationships.
• Prepare and present formal proposals
• Executes preplanned and organized sales calls.
• Maintain necessary records for effective follow-up
• Communicates to management the implementation, control and
performance of marketing plans and actions
• Maintains and controls expenses in line with corporate
policies
• Remains alert for competitive pricing, products and programs
• Continues to update knowledge of products, applications and
market conditions
• Conducts price maintenance, contract and payment term
compliance reviews
• Provides written reports to keep management informed of
activities
• Completes other special projects as may be assigned from
time-to-time
Nature and Scope:
Identify and develop new and or incremental business for the
OEM market. Pursue unique and incremental distribution for
current and new products.
Background/Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or proven experience. 3 to 5
years OEM sales experience a must. The incumbent must be a
talented all around communicator via phone, e-mail and in person
and must possess strong sales and presentation skills.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
